This drama will bring our audience back to the early 1930s and will showcase how a Straits Chinese family went through the different ordeals in life which spans over 70 years, from the early 1930s till 2008. The drama depicts the life of how a daughter of a mistress will suffer discrimination from people around her, and the times when she was being put through hardship and torture, during the Japanese Occupation. She had to abandon her 10 year old daughter who was force to married a local gangster. Her daughter encounters numerous setbacks. Despite the setbacks and the hardship of life, her daughter manage to pick herself up each time, even at times when she would rather end her life. There are many interesting details unfolding within the drama in each an every episode. The casting list of the artistes has yet to be confirmed, but there will be an array of our Mediacorp artistes starring in this blockbuster drama.
